Zensical¶

What would a static site generator look like if we had the freedom to design one from scratch, to re-think every design decision that has previously been made?

Over the past two years, I have been part of the team behind Zensical, working as a freelance contributor focusing on understanding the needs of professional users using the Docs-as-Code approach to create and maintain technical documentation.

Zensical's fresh approach to SSG design allows it to scale to very large projects while still offering a batteries-included experience. This, together with a gentle learning curve and MIT licensing, makes it unique in the SSG market.

Zensical is now complemented by Zensical Studio, an editing environment that makes working on larger projects using the Docs-as-Code approach much more effective as it provides project-aware reference management (not just links), linting, formatting, Markdown preview, and more. With such an unprecedented editing experience, the Zensical stack is a complete solution for technical writing.

While I now focus on my own projects, most of them build on Zensical and I will continue to contribute to the Zensical project.
